Honey Coconut Body Wash

Gorgeous moisture from the coconut oil, invigorating antibacterial

properties of the honey, and a tangy touch of citrus make this body wash

unique. You will have a home spa day with every shower when you use

this luxurious, honey-sweet, coconutty, sunshine-scented moisturizing

body wash.

YIELDS: 16 ounces

⁄ cup extra-virgin coconut oil

⁄ cup raw honey

20 drops sweet orange essential oil

10 drops lemon essential oil

6 drops chamomile essential oil

1 cup unscented liquid Castile soap

What you will need: double boiler, mixing bowl, wire whisk, funnel,

measuring cups, 16-ounce bottle and cap

1. To Make: Start the double boiler on medium heat. Once it reaches a boil,

reduce heat to simmer. Place the coconut oil in the top of the double boiler

and cover. Simmer until it’s melted, stirring occasionally. To preserve the

beneficial botanicals, do not overheat. Remove from heat; take the top pan

off the double boiler and wipe it dry with a towel. Put the honey into the

mixing bowl and add the coconut oil, using the rubber spatula to get the

remainder out of the pan. Whisk the ingredients together for a minute. Add

the essential oils and whisk to blend. Next, add the Castile soap, stirring

gently with the whisk to create a uniform liquid. Do not overwhisk, as this

activates the soap bubbles. Use the funnel to carefully pour into your bottle

and cap tightly.

2. To Store: Store in bottle. Label with contents and date and use within a

year.

3. To Use: Use as body wash in your shower or bath. Apply to damp skin in small upward motion and rinse well.
