The Roman goddess of youth was symbolized by the lemon, which grows

wild in the sun-soaked Mediterranean. This recipe is naturally high in

balance oil production, and fights acne. Tart and tangy lemons, spicy

cardamom, and poppy seeds come together in this sweet and citrusy

wonderscrub for your body-beautiful skincare routine.

2 tablespoons poppy seeds

⁄ cup granulated sugar

Dash of ground cardamom

Zest of ⁄ lemon

⁄ cup grapeseed oil

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

What you will need: mixing bowl, measuring cups, fork, jars and lids to

fit 8 ounces of scrub

medium-size mixing bowl. Add the oil and mix together with a fork until

you have a uniform consistency. Lastly, add the lemon juice and stir well to

blend.

2. To Store: To preserve the freshness of this natural scrub, keep water out of

it. Store this scrub in a sealed container in the refrigerator and use up within

a week.

3. To Use: Use in place of a soap or body wash in your shower or bath. Apply

to damp skin in small, upward motions. Massage the scrub in small circular

motions, starting with the legs and arms, making your way up to the torso,

ending at your heart. Rinse well.

SKINCARE SECRETS

When applying a body scrub, use small circular motions and light

pressure. Avoid any open wounds, especially with a salt scrub, and
