Soothing Scalp and Hair Treatment

This botanical oil blend makes a deeply conditioning hair and scalp

treatment for damaged hair and split ends as well as dry, flaky dandruff

conditions. Enjoy a dreamy scalp massage to soothe uncomfortable

scalp conditions, help unclog hair follicles, energize the scalp, oxygenate

the roots, and stimulate hair growth while nourishing and deep

conditioning your hair.

YIELDS: 8 ounces

⁄ cup grapeseed oil

⁄ cup Rosemary-Infused Oil or jojoba oil

4 vitamin capsules

10 drops rosemary essential oil

18 drops lemon essential oil

24 drops lavender essential oil

22 drops tea tree essential oil

What you will need: dark-colored 8-ounce bottle with a pump top

(optional), comb or natural-bristled hairbrush.

1. To Make: Place the funnel over your bottle and add the grapeseed oil and

Rosemary-Infused Oil. Pierce the vitamin E capsules and squeeze the liquid

out into the bottle, discarding the gel caps. Add the essential oils, cap

tightly, and shake to blend.

2. To Store: Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and use up within

1 year.

3. To Use: Ideally you want to start with brushed, tangle-free dry hair rather

than wet or damp. If you have curly hair, you don’t need to brush it out

first. Apply generously to the scalp and then comb it through to the ends,

applying more oil as necessary to reach full saturation. Massage the oil into

your scalp with your fingertips for 10 minutes. Wrap your head in a towel

and leave on for at least 30 minutes. The longer you are able to leave this

conditioning oil on your hair and scalp, the better. Place a towel over your

pillowcase and you can leave this on overnight. Wash and condition your

hair as normal. It is suggested to clean your comb and brush after using

them for this treatment.

HELPFUL HINTS

This treatment oil can also be used as a quick leave-in conditioning

treatment or de-frizzer, or to help define ringlets in curly hair and

bring out the texture in layered hair. Place a few drops of the oil onto

your fingertips and run through the ends of your hair. You can apply

this to wet or dry hair as needed.
