Ambrosia Face and Body Mask

In Greek and Roman mythology, ambrosia is a food for the gods that is

known to bestow immortality. This luxurious home spa treatment may not

help you live longer, but it will certainly give your skin a more youthful

glow! This highly moisturizing tropical treat exfoliates with natural fruit

enzymes, replenishes with vitamin C–packed fruits, and moisturizes with

decadent coconut cream. Enjoy this simply divine home spa experience

to bring out the goddess in you.

YIELDS: 1 whole body mask

⁄ cup pineapple

1 tablespoon fresh-squeezed orange juice

⁄ + cup coconut cream

⁄ cup coconut flour

⁄ cup granulated sugar

Zest of 1 orange

What you will need: blender, rubber spatula, mixing bowl, measuring

cups, fork, tight-sealing storage container

1. To Make: Place the pineapple, orange juice, and coconut cream into the

blender and mix on low until well blended. Place the creamed pineapple in

the mixing bowl, using the rubber spatula to remove as much as possible.

Add the coconut flour, sugar, and orange zest and stir with a fork until you

have a uniform consistency. Add more coconut cream or sugar, a little at a

time as necessary to achieve a spreadable paste.

2. To Store: This mask is best used fresh. Store any leftovers in a sealed

container in the refrigerator and use within a day or two.

3. To Use: Apply to clean, damp skin in small, upward motions. Start with

your body and finish with your face. Once you are covered from head to

toe, massage the scrub in small circular motions, starting with the legs and

arms, making your way up to the torso, ending at your heart. Then move to

your face, avoiding the eye area. Massage your face with light pressure,

using circular motions. Allow to set on your body for up to 30 minutes and

up to 15 minutes on your face. To rinse, get in the shower and rinse well.

For maximum benefit, do not use soap to wash off the residual oils. Towel

dry and mist your face with Old-Fashioned Rosewater to

close the pores. It is unlikely that you will need any additional moisturizer.
